Anurupye Shunyamanyat
If one is in ratio, the other is zero (a · nu · rup · ye shun · yam · an · yat)
What it means
A shortcut for systems of equations. A coefficient is the number sitting in front of a letter (the 2 in 2x). A constant is a plain number on the right side (the 4 in "= 4"). If the coefficients in front of x match — at the same ratio — as the constants, then y must equal zero. The system solves in one line.
Worked example
Solve 2x + 3y = 4 and 6x + 5y = 12. Compare the x-coefficients: 2 vs 6 = 1:3. Compare the constants: 4 vs 12 = 1:3. Ratios match → y = 0. So 2x = 4 → x = 2.
